This place was a great starting point for our trip with a room that had central heating, an iron/ironing board, and a dining area, and its location near the Historic Post Office was stunning and fantastic.

Nice comfy base for 1 night with amiable staff who have recently taken over the hotel and determined to provide good service. Marvellous location near to the Kauri museum too as well as nearby cafe, only 5 minutes walk from Kauri Coast Information. Also, to the local pub for dinner Paparoa.

I recently had a wonderful stay at a charming hotel nestled in a stunning part of the country. the location of this hotel is simply breathtaking, with beautiful views from the room and a lovely veranda overlooking the garden. It was the perfect spot to relax with a welcome drink and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. Secondly, the service provided by the staff was exceptional - they were friendly, gracious, and went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. Lastly, the basic amenities in the room were top-notch, including a comfortable bed and a TV for catching up on news. And to top it all off, breakfast was included, ensuring a delicious start to the day.
All was perfect, nothing to improve!

Great location near the Kauri Museum and lovely garden setting. the breakfast was exceptional, expertly cooked and delicious. A bonus was the shared lounge area where we could relax after a day of exploring.
The room seemed outdated, especially the tired bedside cabinets, and lacked any decoration. the lack of a TV in the room could be inconvenient for some guests.

Located in a tranquil area with breathtaking views of the surroundings, this establishment is perfect for those seeking peace and quiet. the spacious and comfortable rooms with hot water on demand, provide a relaxing environment. the hospitable staff offers mouth, watering breakfasts and dinners, where you can even try the delicious steak and bacon and eggs. the property is conveniently located near the must, see Kauri Museum and has a nice outlook from all sides of the hotel.
While the village is closed after 8 pm, offering limited options for late, night outings, the beautiful night sky view makes up for it.

Great location next to the Kauri Museum, perfect for those interested in visiting. Lovely room with a verandah overlooking the beautiful countryside on two sides.-Enjoyed the complimentary small jug of port in the room, a nice touch.-Appreciated the cooked breakfast and the friendly and helpful host.
Isolated location, not ideal for those who prefer more amenities and options nearby. Some areas of the hotel could use updating, although new owners have plans for improvements.
